November 14 is observed as Children’s Day all over the country. It is the birthday of our First Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. He was extremely fond of children and loved to be with them. Children were also fond of him and lovingly called him “Chacha Nehru”. Like all the other schools, we too celebrated Children’s Day with lots of fun and joy. We were allowed to come in colourful clothes.
In the morning we all gathered in the school hall. After a short prayer of thanksgiving to the Heavenly Father, there was a short skit put up by the teachers with the message – ‘Eat Healthy Food”, followed by a dance.
We all enjoyed and had fun. The whole atmosphere in the school was full of colour, fun and laughter.
