The Science club of St. Mary School S.S.C celebrated National Science Day with great enthusiasm by organizing a Science Exhibition on 12th February, 2026. The program commenced with a short assembly highlighting the importance of science in our daily lives and how scientific knowledge can bring positive change to society. Students from Std. V to IX actively participated in the exhibition. A total of 47 students presented 31 innovative and creative exhibits. The exhibition showcased a wide range of topics, demonstrating scientific awareness, creativity, and practical application of concepts.
Some of the major projects presented were: Drip Irrigation, Solar System, Eco-Friendly House (Working Model), Rain Water Harvesting, Hydraulic Robotic Arm, Global Warming, Windmill, Adulteration of Food, Vacuum Cleaner, Generating Power Using Bicycle, Solar Tracker, Carbon Dioxide Purifier, Hydraulic Lift, Shadow Formation, Earthquake Detector, Hydel Power Plant, Chalk Chromatography, Automatic Street Light, Refraction of Light,
Biomedical Waste Management, Air Purifier, Natural Floor Cleaner, Kaleidoscope, Water Purifier, Electrical Automobile, Acid-Base-Salt Reactions, Fire Extinguisher, Generating Power through Graphite, and Mobile-Controlled and Live Route Driving Car. The projects were judged by the Principal, Fr. Felix D’Souza, and the Supervisor, Ms. Sheela Abraham. They appreciated the hard work, creativity, and scientific understanding Adding to the uniqueness of the exhibition, eight parents also participated enthusiastically under the guidance of Ms. Sheela Abraham. They displayed products prepared from natural
flowers such as hibiscus lemonade, hibiscus cake, clitoria flower modak, aloe vera gel face pack, and rosemary oil. These exhibits were highly appreciated and enjoyed by everyone present. The exhibition provided a platform for students to showcase their knowledge , scientific thinking , creativity & encouraged peer learning and inspired a love for science. It proved to be a wonderful learning experience not only for the participants but also for the spectators who visited the exhibition. It was a truly educational and memorable event, reflecting the bright minds and promising future of our budding scientists.
