On 29th August 2026, St. Mary’s High School (SSC) hosted the National Science Drama Festival 2026–27 at the Ward level.
The central theme of the festival was “Science and Society”, with four sub-themes:
1)Artificial Intelligence – Friend, Tool or Threat?
2) EV – The Way Forward
3) Interstellar Habitats
4) Restoring Oceans – Preserving Generations
Seven schools participated in the festival, to showcase their creativity, scientific understanding and talent. The performances were judged by Mrs. Supriya M. Karadkar and Mr. Sagar Anna Jadhav. The programme commenced with the singing of the National Anthem and Rajya Geet, followed by the traditional lighting of the lamp. The esteemed judges were then felicitated. After a briefing on the rules and regulations, the students of St. Mary’s High School (SSC) presented an introductory skit, setting the tone for the day. This was followed by the presentations of the seven participating schools. Each skit showcased vivid imagination, creativity and scientific awareness . The efforts and dedication put in by both the students and their teachers was clearly evident. At the conclusion of the performances, the judges congratulated all the participating schools and appreciated the enthusiasm, originality and scientific temperament displayed by the students. The programme concluded with the singing of Vande Mataram.
It was truly a morning well spent—filled with creativity and learnings on how science shapes our world and our future.
