Sub: Fri 29th April 2016 and Mon 1st May 2016 are school working days.
Greetings to you from St Mary’s High School.
As per the planned School Almanac for our school, our students will have school in the month of April 2016. After the final summative exams for Std 1 to Std 8, many students who have not successfully learnt their academic subject content will be given remedial teaching. The other students who are ‘average students’ and ‘gifted students’, will be given extra coaching and exposure to a variety of programmes in school.
Our school has several clubs that have activities all through the year. Some of these remain incomplete due to lack of time during the year. These will be completed during these days. Many other academic and other co curricular activities will be completed during these days.
Std IX will also have an opportunity to clock 100 hours for subjects Work Education and another 100 hours for Scouting / Social Service / RSP. They should have a total of 200 hundred hours for each subject in the last two years.
I request to take note of these activities and plan your holidays only after Sunday 1st May 2016. Sunday 1st May 2016 is a Maharashtra Divas and a working day.
School summer holidays begin from Monday, 2nd May and end on Tuesday, 14th June 2016.
We will begin school on Wednesday, 15th June 2016.
