Monday morning, the 15th of August 2016 (70th Independence Day), saw a myriad of events in St Mary’s High School. The hoisting of our National Flag, a prayer service, power-point presentations, skit, dance, karate display and awards to name a few.
Added to all this display of talent was the Exhibition of the Culture Club Students on the Theme : Regional Cuisines.
Items on display were:
- Kothmir wadi from Maharashtra
- Hyderabadi Biryani
- Khajooris
- Banana Fritters from Goa
- Kheer
- Chicken Angara and Palak Chicken with rice
- Mutton kebabs with Parathas
- Coconut Crepes
- Gulab Jamuns
- Puran polis from Kolhapur
The lil chefs were dressed with chef hats and aprons to feed their visitors. All the dishes were in keeping with the Independence Day Theme too. Here’s a glimpse of the exhibition…
