The PTA Annual General Body Meeting for the Secondary Section was held on Saturday, 12th July, 2025 at 11:30 a.m. in the St. Mary’s School ICSE Auditorium. The event brought together the school leadership, PTA members, teachers and parents in a shared commitment to student growth and holistic education.
The programme began with a welcome address followed by a prayer led by PTA vice president, Mr. Virendra Kanojia. The minutes of the previous AGM were read and confirmed by PTA Secretary, Tr. Sheryl Gonsalves.
A key highlight was the Annual Report Presentation by Principal Rev. Fr. Felix D’Souza, offering a month-wise reflection on the school’s milestones. This was followed by the Financial Report by Senior Accountant Mrs. Shobha Dalvi with the audited accounts adopted and the appointment of auditors for 2025–26 confirmed.
The newly elected PTA members for 2025–26 were formally introduced by the Principal, followed by a brief self-introduction by each member. Their willingness to collaborate with the school was deeply appreciated and met with warm applause.
A proud moment in the programme was the scholarship distribution ceremony, where SSC Board Toppers were felicitated for their outstanding performance. The names were announced by Tr. Fatematussugra Saboowala and heartfelt gratitude was extended to the alumni for their generous contribution in making these scholarships possible.
A presentation on the Annual School Project by Tr. Rochelle D’Sa along with insights from trainers of various co-curricular activities like Dance, Robotics, Martial Arts, Abacus and Football showcased the school’s emphasis on all-round development.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by PTA Joint Vice President Mrs. Zikra Shaikh followed by the National Anthem. The meeting reinforced the strong partnership between parents and educators as the school progresses into the new academic year.
