Blue House Week Celebration
The Primary section at the ‘St. Mary’s High School ‘, Mazgaon organised ‘Blue Week ‘ from 16th July to 21st July 2023.
The theme for this year (2023-24) was ‘Care for the ocean ‘.
On 21st July 2023, the students and teachers wore blue coloured T-shirts /clothes to mark the importance of oceans in our lives. In accordance with the theme, many activities were conducted through out the week like drawing posters, watching informative videos etc. The school corridor and the classes were decorated according to the theme to spread the awareness for keeping the oceans free from pollutants like plastics, chemicals, industrial waste etc. On 21st July, the Blue house captain and other two students went to each class with the house flag and spoke about King Ashoka ( Blue House : Inspirational personality) His
companions spoke about the causes and ill-effects of ocean water pollution and the ways to control them. The students learnt an important value of conservation of resources like our oceans.
