Celebration of World Art Day at St. Mary’s High School

Introduction:

On Monday, the 15th of April,, St. Mary’s High School commemorated the World Art Day with a vibrant celebration of creativity. The event, served as a platform to recognize the global impact of art while celebrating the artistic talents within the school community.

Art and Craft Exhibition:

Under the guidance of Ms. Jyoti More, the dedicated art teacher, and with the enthusiastic participation of talented students, the Art and Craft Exhibition came to life. The exhibition showcased a wide range of artistic expressions, including canvas paintings, innovative crafts, and captivating installations. Each exhibit reflected the unique vision and creativity of the students.

Annual School Project Exhibition:

In addition to the Art and Craft Exhibition, the event featured the Annual School Project Exhibition. These projects, crafted by students, demonstrated academic prowess, critical thinking skills, and innovative ideas. The projects received appreciation from external evaluators, highlighting the academic excellence and dedication of the students.

Acknowledgements:

The success of the event was attributed to the unwavering support and tireless efforts of Ms. Jyoti More, the art students, the school council, and the parents. Their dedication and passion enriched the school community and ensured the success of the event.

Reflection on Art:

As attendees immersed themselves in the beauty and diversity of the exhibits, they were encouraged to reflect on the profound impact of art in their lives. Art has the power to inspire, provoke thought, and foster connection. It transcends boundaries and speaks to the essence of humanity.

Inauguration:

The Principal Rev Fr Felix D’Souza,  Supervisor Ms Sheela Abraham and Primary Head Teacher Sr Treasa Tinsy were invited to inaugurate the Exhibition by cutting the ribbon and lighting the Samay, marking the official commencement of the event.

Conclusion:

The celebration of World Art Day at St. Mary’s High School was a resounding success, showcasing the talent and creativity of the school community while underscoring the importance of art in education and society. The event served as a testament to the school’s commitment to fostering creativity and innovation among its students.
