Here’s an account of the month long activities that brought a sea of change in the school

 

Man for Others

The school vision of Man for Others was epitomised by the collection of long books, poems and exam – writing pads for the 1500 primary school students of Gnanmata Sadan Society in Talasari.

                                                                                             

 

Class Assemblies

From Monday l6th December to Friday 20th December, class assemblies were held on different topics.

STD 5: Advent :Arrival of Jesus

STD 7: Christmas Symbols and Its Significance

Through these assemblies an attempt was made to integrate the entire school in the Christmas fervour. Students were seen planning and practicing for skit and Carol singing. Class 8 students designed creative bookmarks with meaningful messages for the rest of the school students.

Christmas Pot Lunch

The staff shared a pot lunch too on the occasion of Christmas. Star Making

A few ex students, one parent and the current students of St Mary’s got together on weekends to make the beautifully lit star that also added to the beauty of the school.

 

                                  

 

Carol Singing

Our school principal always encourages collaboration with neighbouring schools. With this intention in mind, a group of  केरल singers was formed with students from St Mary’s, St Agnes and Rosary High School. These singers were trained for a month by Mr Alfred Mendes. Our group of singers bagged the 2nd place in the Chrismasti event held by St Teresa’s. The choir also went to Activity High School which belonged to another faith to sing the carols and spread the message of Christmas.

                                                                                     

 

                                                                                             

 

Christmas Party

The school students celebrated the Christmas party with a prayer service, tableau and Carol singing, and a polka dance. The highlight of the event was the arrival of Santa Claus who gave a message of ‘Being a Man for Others’ and following all the good values learnt in school in their day to day life.

                                                                                       

                                                             

                                                                                               

 

 

This season of Christmas was a joyful one in which the entire school participated in different categories. The entire school was decorated with Christmas Symbols made by the students.
