Admiration comes easy to a person who is endowed with the fine art of public speaking, who adorns common thoughts with the grace of, elocution, and the elegance of style.”
The famous words lingered on the mind of those who were lucky to witness the English Elocution Competition by the Secondary Section, on the 27th of November’2020.
The event was divided onto two groups:
Group 1 Classes 5th to 7th
Group 2- classes 8th to 10th respectively.
Each standard had a theme
Std 5th Elements of Nature ( 12 Contestants )
Std 6th Colours ( 14 Contestants )
Std 7th Compassion ( 7 Contestants )
Std 8th Shaping Peace Together ( 9 Contestants )
Std 9th Speeches ( 8 Contestants )
Std 10th Speeches ( 10 Contestants
The panel of Judges included
- Mrs Andrea Remedios ( Teacher at St Joseph’s High School Kandivali)
- Mr Vishwajit Dilip ( Maritime Engineer )
- Mr Anil Dias ( Senior Copy Editor – Times of India )
- Mr Winston Travasso ( Trained Actor , Lyrico Spinto Tenor, Tedx Speaker, Co founder of ROE school of Music )
All the students participated with great zeal and enthusiasm and it was a treat to hear them. The participants were praised by one and all. Before the results were revealed all the judges spoke to the participants and praised.

The competition ended on a happy note and the discipline of the students was commendable.
