The English Elocution Competition for students in grades 5 to 10 took place on September 3, 2024.
Students in grades 5 to 8 recited poems on various themes, while those in grades 9 and 10 delivered speeches on diverse topics organized by the Forum of Free Enterprise in collaboration with the M.R. Pai Foundation, the event aimed to foster critical thinking and enhance public speaking skills among students. The top three speakers were awarded certificates and cash prizes for their exemplary performances. Judges for the event, Ms. Diana Paul Chiramal of St. Mary’s School ICSE and Mrs. Vanessa Remedios from St. Agnes High School, expressed their admiration for the contestants. They were particularly impressed by the speeches from grades 9 and 10, noting the high quality of the content and the strong memorization skills demonstrated.
