Our Kindergarteners celebrated Independence Day with great joy and excitement. All the children came dressed in white clothes. The celebration began with an introduction, singing the National Anthem with great pride and a prayer following it. Few children were dressed as Mahatma Gandhi, Lokmanya Tilak and Jawaharlal Nehru. They spoke about India and how they helped India to become free and independent from the hands of the Britishers.
Children spoke a few sentences on the values and also shared the importance of National animal, National flower, National fruit, National bird and then about our National flag. They explained the importance of each colour of the flag and also about the Ashoka Chakra. Children then sang a few patriotic songs with great love, pride and high voices in honour of our country India.
Activity: Fun art and craft activities like palm printing on National bird – Peacock, National flower – Lotus National flag and National fruit – mango were done by the boys with the help of their teachers.
The celebration ended with the distribution of sweets and biscuits leaving everyone happy and proud to be an Indian.
It was a day filled with learning, fun. and patriotism.
