Our school celebrated Marathi Divas on 24th , 25th and 26th February with great enthusiasm and pride. The programme was organised to honour the rich literary heritage of Maharashtra and to remember the contribution of great Marathi writers like Kusumagraj, whose birth anniversary is observed as Marathi Bhasha Din.
24th February- Skit on Festival of Maharashtra On 24th February, students presented a short skit based on the vibrant festivals of Maharashtra. Through colourful costumes, traditional music, and lively dialogues, the children beautifully depicted popular festivals like Makar Sankranti ,Ganesh Chaturthi
and Gudi Padwa. The performance highlighted the rich culture and traditions of  Maharashtra and spread the message of unity and joy.
25th February – Handwriting Competition (Std 1 to 4)
On 25th February, a Handwriting Competition was conducted for students of Std 1 to 4. The objective of the competition was to encourage students to improve their writing skills and develop love and respect for the Marathi language. Students beautifully wrote selected Marathi passages with neatness and creativity. The enthusiasm and sincere efforts of the students were truly commendable.
26th February – Cultural Competitions
On 26th February, various cultural activities were organised class-wise:
• Poem Recitation Competition (Std 1 & 2): The little learners confidently recited Marathi poems with proper pronunciation, expressions, and actions.
Their performances were heart-warming and appreciated by all.
• One Act Play (Std 3 – Topic: Marathi Saints): Students of Std 3 presented a meaningful one-act play based on the lives and teachings of great Marathi saints. The play beautifully highlighted moral values, devotion, and social messages.
• One Act Play (Std 4 – Topic: Marathi Poets): Std 4 students performed a wonderful one-act play depicting the works and contributions of renowned
Marathi poets .The students showcased excellent acting skills and deep understanding of Marathi literature.
The celebration concluded with a message encouraging students to respect and preserve their mother tongue. The entire programme was a grand success and instilled a sense of pride and love for the Marathi language among students.
