On 29th August , a comprehensive medical camp was organized at St Mary’s High School, in collaboration with a team of esteemed healthcare professionals. The camp aimed to provide general health check-ups, dental care, and promote overall well-being among students, teachers, and parents.
Medical Team:
Doctors:
8 experienced doctors from various specializations, including general medicine, pediatrics, ophthalmology, and dentistry.
Nurses:
3 skilled nurses assisted the doctors in conducting the check-ups, providing essential care, and managing the flow of patients.
Participants:
Students: All students from classes 5to 9th were encouraged to participate.
Teachers: The school’s teaching staff also participated in the camp, ensuring they maintain good health to perform their duties effectively.
Services Offered:
General Health Check-up:
Basic examinations including blood pressure, weight, height, and BMI measurement.
Consultation on nutrition and lifestyle advice.
Dental Care:
Dental screenings for cavities, gum issues, and other oral health problems.
Distribution of dental hygiene kits and advice on maintaining oral health.
ENT Examination:
Ear, nose, and throat check-ups to detect any infections or other issues.
Outcome:
Total Number of Beneficiaries: Approximately 600 students, and teachers were screened.
Follow-Up Cases: 50 individuals were advised for follow-up treatments, particularly in dental and vision care.
Feedback: The camp received positive feedback from the participants, with many appreciating the initiative and expressing interest in similar camps in the future.
The camp was a resounding success, reflecting the commitment of St Mary’s High School SSC to the well-being of its community. Special thanks to the medical team, school staff, and volunteers who ensured smooth and efficient operations throughout the day.
