The Primary Section of St Maryโs High School, SSC organized an exciting picnic to Monteria Village from Classes I to IV, making it an unforgettable experience for the children. School picnics offer them a chance to learn in a fun-filled environment, allowing them to explore new places, bond with friends, and gain hands-on experience.
The day began at 7:30 a.m., with students boarding the buses. The atmosphere inside the buses was lively, filled with laughter, singing, and excitement.
On reaching the spot, students were served with a delicious breakfast. With high spirits, they enjoyed the โRain Danceโ and the swimming pool thoroughly. Before lunch, they were taken for a thrilling tractor ride, that gave students a taste of rural life
After a delicious and sumptuous lunch, children eagerly explored and participated in engaging activities like basket-making, pottery, black smithy guided by skilled artisans introducing them to traditional crafts. Following this, the rope walk show, puppet show and magic show left them in awe.
After a small walk through the Nakshatra Garden, the fun continued with swings and other play areas, where students laughed, ran, and enjoyed carefree moments with their friends. Outdoor games such as cricket, tug of war, spinning tops and whittling the wheel added to their excitement.
At 4.30 p.m., an evening snack of vada pav with lemon juice brought smiles to their faces.
Children were escorted back to their buses with a treat of ice cream and snacks.
The trip to Monteria Village was an enriching experience that was filled with new learnings, culture, recreation and bonding with their peers and teachers.
