Thursday, the 18th of August, festival of Raksha Bandhan.
It was celebrated in St Mary’s with an assembly conducted by students of Class 8B. A huge Rakhi adorned the entrance of the school. The history and current tradition of Raksha Bandhan was highlighted along with a poem and prayer on the festival. The song, ‘Behena ne bhai ki kalaai pe pyaar baandha hai’ was played. A quiz was conducted in each class.
And the Highlight of the day was the Rakhi Making Competition on the Theme: Best out of Waste. Students came equipped with materials and created beautiful rakhis. The prize winners were as follows-
