On 30th September, Std 5 & 6 went to the IWSA Garden in Vashi Our young scientists exploring the various species of plants. It was a wonderful learning experience and enjoyed by all the students.

The field trip for students of 5th and 6th grade comprised 64 enthusiastic participants and aimed to explore the IWSA Garden. The focus of the trip was to understand the importance of biodiversity, particularly emphasizing the role of mangroves in ecological balance.
IWSA Garden is a lush green space dedicated to promoting environmental awareness and conservation. Situated at Vashi Sector 10, the garden houses a diverse range of plant and animal species, providing an excellent learning environment for students. The trip began with an informative session highlighting the significance of biodiversity. Students learnt that biodiversity is crucial for maintaining ecological balance, supporting various life forms, and ensuring the resilience of ecosystems. A significant portion of the field trip was dedicated to the exploration of mangroves
within IWSA Garden. Students were educated on the unique features of mangroves, such as their ability to thrive in saline environments and serve as a vital habitat for numerous marine species. Discussions centered around the role mangroves play in preventing coastal erosion and acting as natural buffers during storms The primary aim of the field trip was to instill a sense of environmental responsibility in students. By exposing them to the wonders of biodiversity and the importance of mangroves, the trip sought to cultivate a deeper appreciation for nature and promote
sustainable practice. The field trip to IWSA Garden proved to be an enriching experience for the 5th and 6th-grade students. Witnessing the diverse ecosystems and understanding the crucial role of mangroves left a lasting impression. It is hoped that this exposure will inspire students to become stewards of the environment, contributing to the preservation of biodiversity for future generation.
