Our Principal, Fr. Felix D’Souza introduced the Twins’ Day & Shukriya Day for the staff members to say Thank you for their efforts for the First Term. The programme was held on Thursday, 9th November 2023, in the new Pre Primary hall which was renovated and blessed just a few days before. The programme started with a small prayer service to invoke God’s blessings. Our Manager, Rev. Dr. Fr. Francis Swamy and Our Principal, Fr. Felix D’Souza, told the staff about the importance of the day and thanked the staff – SHUKRIYA.
The first programme to begin with was the Twins’ Day programme. Each teacher was paired with another teacher, as a Twin in advance so that they could get time to prepare themselves. Each pair of twin teachers dressed and presented themselves as Twins, in a very unique way. After a break of 10 mins, we started with the next programme – Shukriya Day. The Maths & Science department started with a prayer dance. The English Department sang a song about different subjects and how the world would be a better place if all loved each other. The Marathi/Hindi department put up a classical dance on the theme – Bravery. The Primary Section sang a song in a regional language about Shukriya. The Pre Primary Section danced on the song focusing on the culture of Mumbai (Maharashtra). The teachers were divided into groups according to the different sections in school and each section did a fantastic job. The programme ended with a small speech by Fr. Laurie.
